Murals
Murals that were community driven and designed by our team throughout Iowa.
Des Moines Arts Festival Mural
This was an interactive mural that consisted over 1400 tiles. Each tile being interpreted and transferred by the community.
“Together We Flourish” created by our amazing Emma Parker! In collaboration with the Latinos in Action classes at East High and Roosevelt High School, the mural shows flowers representing the heritage and ethnicity at the aforementioned schools, along with the youth-centered values reflecting hope, unity, inclusivity, and place. The murals will be permanently installed at East High School and Roosevelt High School.

John R. Grubb Community YMCA Mural
Youth artists in English Language Learner (ELL) classes at Hiatt Middle School working on the mural. The youth artists have worked hard and creatively with local muralists on creating a piece that not only represents them, but the different communities within the school.

I am Des Moines mural with Operation Downtown, Skywalk Activation project
This artwork represents belonging. As someone who is from another country, I know how it feels to be excluded from people, not fitting into groups and wanting community. Belonging is such an important necessity in our daily lives. It brings you closer to those who you share connections with, and there is comfort in knowing our shared struggles, happiness, anything and everything. I hope all the people in Des Moines feel like they belong in this city in some sort of way. #IAmDSM #IAmKind #IAmCaring
